It All Started with a Thought: I Want to Write a Song
Hi, I’m Lily. I’m a full-time designer, but also a person obsessed with sounds. I often get inspired by movies and visuals, and sometimes I’d even hum little tunes during my commute.
But I don’t know how to compose, nor do I play any instruments, and I’m not good at singing either. So, like many aspiring creators, I kept my ideas buried in my phone’s Notes app.

My First Time Using Musichut: Like Collaborating with AI
I opened Musichut on the recommendation of a friend — and when I saw the feature “Enter a sentence to generate a melody,” I couldn’t believe it.

AI Lyrics Generator: I simply typed in “The farewell of summer memories,” and it wrote four verses for me, which surprisingly rhymed and had a vivid imagery.
AI Music Generator: I made some adjustments to the lyrics generated by Musichut, then entered the style I wanted, and used the music generator to create a melody. I ended up with my very own song.
Throughout the entire process, I didn’t touch any DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) — everything was done on the website.
What Did I End Up Creating?
I completed 5 original tracks with Musichut. These songs make up my first EP, titled “Neon Sketches”.
“Night Walk” – A dreamlike journey through neon streets
“Pixel Love” – A lo-fi love letter created with AI
“Goodbye, Green Light” – A farewell to my past self
…and two other instrumental tracks I now use in videos and vlogs.
I uploaded them to SoundCloud and shared them with friends. The feedback blew me away. Some people said:
